ITIND
FAQs
Is iTind covered by Medicare or health insurance?
May 23, 2025
As iTind is a relatively new BPH treatment procedure, coverage can vary. Our team can advise you on any out-of-pocket costs and help you understand your insurance options.
How long do the results last?
May 23, 2025
Clinical studies show that symptom relief from iTind is durable, lasting several years in most men. Repeat treatments are rarely needed but are possible if symptoms return.
Will iTind affect my sexual function?
May 23, 2025
No. iTind is specifically designed to preserve erectile and ejaculatory function, making it an excellent choice for men concerned about sexual side effects.
Is the iTind procedure painful?
May 23, 2025
Some mild discomfort may be experienced during the implant period, but most patients tolerate the device well. You can continue your daily activities, although we may recommend avoiding strenuous exercise.
When will I start to feel better?
May 23, 2025
Most men begin to notice improvements shortly after the device is removed, with further symptom relief developing over the following weeks.
What happens during the procedure?
May 23, 2025
The iTind device is inserted through the urethra under local anaesthesia or sedation. It stays in place for 5 - 7 days, after which it is removed in a second procedure. No hospital stay is required.
How is iTind different from other BPH treatments?
May 23, 2025
iTind is a temporary, implantable device that reshapes the prostate internally without permanently altering the tissue. No cutting, heat, or permanent implant is involved, which results in fewer risks and a shorter recovery time.
